Nachas helps families write bar and bat mitzvah speeches. We collect as little as possible, and what we collect exists to serve your family — never to be sold.

What stays on your device

Everything you type into the speech studio — your child's profile, the interview answers, the generated speeches, photos you add — is stored in your own browser (localStorage), on your device. It is not saved to our servers. Clearing your browser data removes it.

What reaches our servers

Speech generation: when you generate a draft, the details you provided are sent to our server and on to Anthropic (the AI provider) to write the text. Anthropic's API does not use this data to train models.
Email signups: if you leave your email, we store it securely and use it only to contact you about Nachas. Unsubscribe by replying to any message.
Community memories: if your family shares an invite link, the words, photos, and optional emails contributors submit are stored securely so the family can review them. They are accessible only through the family's private link and are shown to no one else.

Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.

Analytics

We use Vercel Web Analytics, which is cookie-free and does not track you across the web.

Children

Nachas is used by parents and adult family members. The profile describes your child, but accounts, emails, and payments belong to adults. Please don't have children under 13 use the studio themselves.

Deletion

Email hello@getnachas.com and we'll delete your stored emails and any contributed memories tied to your family's link.
